I think that the best thing for me would be if there were some kind of neurofeedback device that I could wear all day long. It's just that those kinds of things are probably very expensive. And I would have to have it set to just the right frequency in order to get the effect I want (make everything feel neutral, but still somehow have a sharp sense of good vs bad, and still be able to plan things that I want to do once I'm all healed.) Plus walking around wearing one of those things all day would probably make me look like a dork.

I just realized something - by tapping into just the right brainwave patterns, I can essentially use neurofeedback to essentially rewrite history so that none of this stuff ever happened. It works because the parts of history that I'm rewriting are things that only exist inside my mind. The only snag is that some of the things that would have had to have happened in this alternate timeline don't feel realistic. And some of the things that would to have happened are just logically impossible (in order for it to be as though this stuff never happened then the status quo of the world around me needs to be absolutely timeless, which goes against the idea of there being an alternate timeline in the first place.)

By the way, how do EEGs work? Do they make some kind of noise to let you know if your brain is on the right frequency?
