^ YEAH! Jim Parsons PLAYS an aspie on TV but he is no more an aspie in real life than Martin Sheen was POTUS, or Leonard Nimoy was a real space alien.

I didn't. We had already shot and aired several episodes before I was ever asked the Asperger's-or-autism question. I asked the writers, and they were like, No, he doesn't have it. I do not have a problem with people reading into fictional charactors what they please.

As far as Jim Parsons is concerned while he is an out married gay I have not seen anything about him coming out as Aspie so as the saying goes “links please”

I don't watch TV or follow pop culture TV celebrities. (except for the lolz about trump that's all over my newsfeed.)

I thought he was an Aspie on the show and IRL, or that's what I remember hearing/being told/reading ??

Maybe not.

Google says his character, Sheldon, was not intentionally modelled on ASD, but there are over 12,000 results about it because basically he's an Aspie.

Couldn't find anything about Jim Parson's being an Aspie. Yeah, I know he's gay though. Thought he was both, too, but maybe it's just the character he plays that's Aspie & he's just gay. w/e not something I really care about or care about being correct about.

My totally wild guess is I sometimes wonder if Trump has a mild disorder of the corpus callosum where the two brain hemispheres connect. This is because in weird way it sometimes seems like there are two 'voices' in Trump interrupting each other trying to offer different points of view.

It almost seems like this connection is there but turns on and off during some of his stranger interviews.

His character is never identified as being aspie/autistic on the show, but the character IS a "character" because he possesses traits that amount to a kind of a cartoon version of aspergers. So for practical purposes "Parsons plays an aspie on TV". Gay and aspie are not mutually exclusive. But his character is...well kinda asexual actually...but ostensibly heterosexual, but the actor is gay IRL. Intentionally or not his character also comes off as having kind of gay vibe IMHO (probably not the actor's intent, he cant help it).

I think not. If you go back to interviews with him from the 80's, he comes across as a regular, low-key dude. Well-spoken and socially-poised. It's always been my opinion that he's playing everyone, that he knows how American politics work, and he's just manipulating the system. He's not an idiot, after all. He's a businessman, and the first job of a businessman is to know the market and exploit it. This is exactly the way I expect a hard-core capitalist to win the presidency. Looking at it from this angle, I've found every one of his moves fascinating. Maybe I'm reading into it too much, though.

There are lots of voices in Trump, but they are his various advisers trying to keep him in line.

These theories about well known people's mental disorders (especially POTUS for goodness sake) are bordering moderate-or-high on the creep factor.

How?

No one is stalking the guy like paparazzi looking for the latest scoop on his mental deficiencies - Trump is putting them on full public display for all to observe.

Even professional Psychiatrists have been breaking their typical ethics rules of not diagnosing public figures & coming out in droves to say that they believe he is mentally unfit to be leading The United States and poses a danger to American Citizens in that his instability could result in real world ramifications such as war with North Korea.

It's not what I think, it what I know. It is definitely exacerbated by an imbalance of intestinal flora. Modern medicine is slowly studying the gut micro-biome & it's correlation to ASD and will slowly but surely prove all of this as time goes on. Probiotic treatments have been tested and observed in ASD presenting mice, I've been doing it for myself for over 4 years now, and eventually medical studies and human trials will be done with groups of Autistic people.


'tested and observed in ASD presenting mice' did they pick out the mice that refused to socialise with the other mice, or give them them all full ASD assessments? :D No wonder I was on the waiting list for ten months.

Frontotemporal dementia. And I suspect a lot of other people have it too, across all income levels. AND I also suspect it has shaped our current sociopolitical environment, massively.

Anyone old enough to remember the Peter Sellers movie "Being There" (from the novel by Jerzy Kosinski) knows that Reagan's dementia was widely suspected, early on. We just have no social mechanism for addressing mentally disabled people in positions of power, whatever the etiology, other than denial. And we pay for that.

I didn't conduct the study, how should I know? Google is your friend. Autism Speaks conducted the study I referenced. Go read up on it and contact them if you really want to know.
