WINTER STORM WARNING UNTIL 1 PM EST THIS AFTERNOON ... Moderate to heavy snow oncoming. Plan on difficult travel conditions, especially Monday morning. Snow accumulations of 6 to 9 inches. Tree branches could fall as well as snow adheres to any trees that remain iced and winds pick up out of the west.

still not xmas yet here. half hour to go. then it will be the xmas mass at st. james cathedral in seattle on the TV to watch.

How I wish I could have snowflakes blowing around my face instead of flies. One more warm, dry Christmas has come and gone. Shops were closed, so I couldn't buy ice-cream. Had to settle for paying $4.50 for one at the petrol station. Can't wait for Boxing Day. Merry Christmas everyone, and to those who are celebrating a white one, please appreciate what you've got (if not, consider a country swap?)

Yawn . . . slept all day till 17 00, couldn't be bothered to sort out a nut roast so had fish and chips instead. 20 00 here in England and warm, it has been about 55f today. Had a friend meant to be coming but he hasn't shown up, hope he has got laid.

So certainly a peaceful Christmas (no need to use the emergency stash of valium), and autistic in that nothing, nowhere and no one kind of comforting void you can get used to.

You just reminded me of a quote from Josephine Tey... "people who lead full lives generally find that those lives are full of other people's demands."

May not be verbatim - I have the book, but didn't check the quote - but it is 100% true to the spirit of what she wrote.
