Neighbors around me are not loud at all. I don't hear any screaming or fighting or loud music playing or any dogs barking and none of them have parties.

When I lived in my apartment, I had two neighbor issues. One of them would play their TV too high and the one below me always played their music loud. Once we complained about their music, they started to make up complaints about us like vacuuming at night (I never vacuumed in the middle of the night) and they also complained about my husband rocking our infant son to sleep and they claimed we did elephants above them. I barely moved in my apartment. I mostly sat and I didn't pound my feet on the floor, only on accident. I made sure to not let myself pace but I wasn't going to tiptoe in my own apartment and not be able to live in it. I used to wake up to a neighbor having sex below me because I would hearing a thumping sound in my room and then she moved out and the music guys moved in. I was so happy to finally be moving out. I would at times feel like having a meltdown and screaming because of the loud bass music or loud TV set. It didn't bother me when I would hear the guys below me fight. To me it was all entertainment. Ooo drama. *Sits with popcorn and listens to it in my living room*

I used to live on the top floor at my first apartment building, there were three floors & an elevator. I liked living on the top, it felt like a hotel, but I can’t live on top again, it was TOOO HOT for me in the summer, I have Psoriasis. ALOT of my stuff melted, my sunscreen was sunscreen soup. I had a temperature box in my living room, it was over 100 degrees  :o :skull: :skull: I’m living in an apartment building with five apartments now, my neighbors are mostly quiet, but I’m living under another apartment  this is my second apartment building & my third apartment in 10 years. Sometimes people talk next to my apartment, I can still hear them, my windows were close. The houses on both sides of me can be a PAIN!

Isn’t there something to block certain noise so you can still watch tv?

I am very sensitive to noise in general and as far as apartments go, not only do I hate hearing other people, I hate being heard by them too. I wear headphones constantly, at the computer or tv or if I want music. Right now I’m living in supportive housing and my living area is very small. I like very small living areas but since the neighbours are so close it’s hard to get away from the noise. I actually had a small freak out this morning because the people next door were yelling at each other.
