False accusations and rumors
Over the years a lot from being a lesbian (at school) to spreading gossip I didnt spread to having schizophrenia which I've never had, to hating myself which ive never done, to being an internet troll which ive never been...etc.
I used to get upset, now i think its just best to carry on quietly living your life and doing your own thing regardless. People will believe what they want to. In my eyes it just makes them look gullible and delusional or just outright nasty and neither one impresses me.

but they make the mistake of discounting the possibility that there will be something for them in the next life after they've passed away from this life.
What if they claim to believe in it too? Or do they think they were justified in their false accusations?
no matter what they believe, there will be a reckoning later on for them, whether or not they realize what they are in for. IOW "god is not mocked." no escaping Karma [law of cause and effect].
In the meantime society does not punish them as law system is flawed and anyway the human mind can outwit and escape justice
they might escape MAN's justice but not the BIG MAN's justice upstairs whose judgments are far more severe and far-reaching. you may find some comfort in reading Danion Brinkley's "saved by the light" as it is an autobiographical example of an admittedly BAD man getting his just desserts after a long time. another good example is the story of Howard Storm, also an admittedly bad man who got his, as well.
In the end, these people have to answer to God. I do find comfort in knowing that God will deal with all the people that made my life miserable. God judges us based on how we lived our lives here on Earth. He also looks at whether or not we are truly sorry for the sins we did commit.
I always feel god would be a gentle being whom is as far from judgemental as you can get. At least in the damning people way.
He may choose other gentle souls to be with him and leave those whom were too hateful to rest in peace though.
PN I am agnostic, but this is how i imagine/feel god to be if indeed he does exist.

This wouldn’t make sense esp for those who have blithely and intentionally committed devastating crimes.
It is not justice if they do not get their due repurcussions in the next life. In fact that would make God an UNJUST being if they were easily let go

My cousin once called my work to accuse me of stealing her boyfriend. I don't think I had ever met him, she was looking for a scapegoat to give reason for why he broke up with her. Why me? And why involve my work?
I wish I could say ex, but current h always accuses me of cheating. I really don't have the mindset to do that and have never, but I hear it almost every day.

This one girl accused me of talking s**t about her and her boyfriend when I was in eighth grade. I didn't even know this girl had a boyfriend. Sometimes I can't even fathom how people come up with the lies they come with. Your cousin sounds very immature and your husband sounds insecure.
I have always tried to be so conscientious about how I treat people because I know I miss things and make mistakes. It took me a really long time to realize most other people don't try. They just don't care when they dump their bs on others and don't ever bother to reflect back on it.
