I have a pretty vivid memory, so I may remember things differently/details other people don't. I've been complimented many times on it. There are some real life hard skill areas where my memory is cruddy, but others it's great.
I do understand our mind is not always 100% reliable and can BS us.
The are some things me and my parents remember differently.
My mom tells the story of when I was little, a toddler and in preschool, and I'd have trouble connecting and like there was a "veil" between us. That is the story from her perspective but I was completely unaware of it, being a kid that young with special needs. It makes me feel bad knowing now.
When it comes to remembering things differently, there are a lot of memories that we may have different takes on.
