I often have trouble with verbal instructions; I usually need something visual to really get it to set in with me.

Most at the time and yet... Partially because my verbal IQ isn't exactly stellar, yet I got decent work arounds with patterns and memorization. The reasons vary.

Mostly it's mainly due to short term and working memory -- supposedly my only work around with literal thinking is simply hold onto the memory and process it in different angles based on my previous experiences and knowledge.
Then what happens if I no longer able to access this work around by lacking the processing capacity to?

Auditory processing is a more recent problem.
