We all are annoying sometimes, but we should strive to avoid personal attacks. Isn’t name-calling against the rules?

I'd be surprised if the mods lock this thread because of our boo boo. 8O

I'm not trying to be a mod.
I just don't like newbies being bullied.

Autistic individuals aren't always aware of how they come across.
You should know this. <shrug>

Those who weren't aware of how they were coming across probably know now. Hopefully it was unintentional. I don't think OP meant to bash NTs, but just talk about how they can be difficult. Apologies if I come across badly here too.

One man is not representative of all neurotypicals.

I’ve seen his face once. Didn’t seem autistic. I’m sure he isn’t.
So now you're also an expert at diagnosis based on the way a person's face looks, right?

Chill mate, she is autistic, only 19 and a newbie.
Do I really need to point that out?
You don't have to be a putz *all* the time. :P
Sheesh.

OP is an adult, has been a member for 2 years and most of us are autistic.

You did notice she has only 20 posts?
Yes, 19 is an adult, but a very young adult.

Your assumption is that she has been a lurker for those 2 years.
That may or may not be the case.
I joined in 2013.
But there was a long period where I didn't visit WP.
Perhaps we should ask her what her situation is?

Also, consider:

The accused has admitted people often perceive him as being difficult to get along with, me lord.
And I believe there may be an element of truth in what was said.
Therefore, as the self-nominated representative of the plaintiff, I formally present said evidence to the court for consideration.
Justice shall be done, of that, I am convinced.
The prosecution rests its case. 8)

Thanks Pepe! And you're right. I discovered the site while I was still in middle school, ca. 10th grade, which is still middle school in Norway. And yes, I did stop writing/checking up on it once I got to high school, so a little after I joined. Mostly because I had a bucketload of NT adults wrecking my desired educational future with the worst IEP ever. I have to say, this site is the only one where being called "very young" and "only 19" doesn't insult me  :D Fnord and the rest of you, chill and listen to Pepe 8)

Just to prove we're all different...
I quite like the smell of cigarette smoke... at least a faint whiff of it... wouldn't like a whole cloud of it or having it blown in my face.
My favourite auntie and uncle used to smoke and I associate the smell with when I was about ten years old, my uncle and auntie would be downstairs... I'd be lying in bed and catch the faint smell and hear a buzz of conversation. It was something that made me feel really comfortable and safe.
But, the fact that my auntie and uncle both died of cancer in their 40s indicates that maybe smoking isn't a great lifestyle choice.

I usually have to apologise for derailing a thread... for once I've gone back to the OP.
