I don't use noise cancelling headphones because I have tinnitus and when I've tried them I found that they end up increasing the perceived volume of the ringing in my ears after I take them off which is a problem I avoid at all costs. I've read that others experience the same thing, that they "make tinnitus worse". I'm very glad they're out there and that they work for other people though.

tintinnabulation describes very well what i hear when i am awake and at night if i don't put on a brown noise generator. i have not noticed the effect you described, of amplified ear ringing. when i take off my bose noise cancelling units i am just aware of a vastly increased ambient sound level, is all, that in fact makes it harder to hear my tinnitus.

Wait you mean a blue and green pair of headphones?

I really hoped it had some kind of alien symbol or wrong planet writing on it!

That would be sick! Let's try to make it happen. I don't know anyone at bose, however.

Dude! You are the owner of a big autism related website. You probably could have a lot of pull if you contacted Bose and said how important noise cancelling headphones are for a lot of people on the spectrum. You should ask if they would be interested in doing a special run of limited edition Wrong Planet headphones with a small discount for forum members. I think Bose my go for an autism related product ( an extra USP to their products could only increase sales ) - maybe not , what have you got to lose though.

Seconded! I think there are many items you could brand, but this would be a perfect start!

Agreed!
