Neurotypicals and autistics: The same species in name only
I can understand the idea.
NTs make no sense at all, and have completely different needs and values. Sometimes I at least wish we were a different species.

Are there aspies who don't understand NT or animals, but communicate readily with a wide selection of other AS types? I'm sure the original poster feels isolated, but we are wasting time on the analogy used.
Oh! I hadn't thought of that.@Mapofsteel: I'm sorry for acting like a ***k.

There used to be a page on uncyclopedia called "Homo Spergensis", the species name for aspies.
It was hilarious and so true. Too bad it's gone now. But anyway many people probably feel like we're a different species.
The page you mentioned ain't gone. Here ya go.
I am offended by that piece of garbage.
Why?
Just makes Asperger's feel more isolating than it really is.
Unless it's a joke?
If you read it it's kinda obvious that it's a joke.
Well, normally I don't take things seriously, but because I am very sensitive about my ASD, it doesn't take much for me to feel singled out when all I want is to feel like a normal human being.
It's a bit like if someone makes a joke about Indian people or black people, it is deemed as offensive and racist, even if it's a harmless joke not to be taken seriously.
I assumed (rightly, or wrongly) that the guy who wrote it (maybe because his article had the strong vibe of insider first hand experience) was himself an aspie/autistic. If he is ASD then it would be like Blacks comics poking fun at Blacks. Fine. If I am wrong, and he is an NT, then...well he does talk about aspies as being brainy, and so forth, so even if he were NT he is not being completely derogatory.
Oh no what have I done...

You will be held responsible.
In this life or the next.
