People used to think I was mad doing a 2 mile, 400ft rise, cross-country walk twice a day in all weathers to get to work when I could have got the bus into town and back out again, but I wouldn't have had it any other way - it made my employment possible to have that time in nature to prepare myself and wind down rather than being packed like a sardine into a bus crawling through traffic jams.

I do that now-well, without the 400ft part. There is a steep slope, but only maybe 80-100ft. I walk over an area of farm and downland which is the best part of my work day! In snow, torrential rain (2 weeks ago), high winds. It doesn’t matter, though I don’t like to get too hot in the summer. It's quite a rural place, so the buses aren’t busy, but the walk is essential for me.

I enjoy travelling and I wish could do more of it. My last trip where I stayed overnight was in Wales earlier this month. Me and my family stayed in a coastal resort called Langland Bay near the Gower Peninsula just west of Swansea. It was a very nice place to stay for a couple of days though I would have liked it even more if it had been a bit sunnier and warmer. I particularly enjoyed exploring the coastal paths nearby. Some lovely scenery in this part of Wales. Mountain Goat, are you familiar with this area?

I’m hoping to do some more trips in the next few years both in the UK and in Europe. I’d love to go back to Edinburgh and visit York, Snowdonia, the Lake District and the Scottish Highlands for the first time. I’d also like to spend more time in Bath and visit European cities such as Amsterdam and Munich. It would be nice to do at least one trip abroad every year.

Yes I am familiar. At one time I was cycling on the Gower from here daily. Langland Bay is on the south side. I can see the Gower from here. It is not far. You would need to go to the north side of the Gower to see where I live.

Have travelled the usa is a very large place ,lots of variety . And actually not that much of the usa.
Been to countries next door . North and south. . Must admit more overwelmed by the actual work it takes to get through the airports . Than when , i arrive . At the intended destination . Relaxing is almost impossible in non english speaking countries..Mainly just fear . But can make needs known in a few other languages . Just living , where i do most times provide enough adventure , When you are a target for people , dodging lifes problems , can provide enough adventure , would love to find a more secure location, whereas disability doesn-t make you a target . Especially if you are living on your own. ( MANY DREAMS OF TRAVEL)

Disabled physically even before any diagnosis .
Dxed late in life .
Non verbal sister . Completely overwelmed mum .
Middle child pretty much i went unnoticed
