I used to do that as a child till 20 when my husband at the time told me it adds to the bill then I forced myself to lessen it.
But i can still fall back into that obession with that sound if I let myself.

Oh my gosh yeah! I used to love to watch the clothes go around in the washer when I was a kid, and I still do! I actually used to ask if I could do the laundry. I'd sit there for hours. I begged my mom to get one of those washers with the window in the front so I could watch it, but she said they were too expensive
One of those is still on my wish list
