Yes AB my dining room chair is murder to my back. My laptop sits on my dining room table which is where I also teach. I have a little office attached to my bedroom but it's really claustrophobic and no room for a good orthopedic chair. My sense of aesthetics prevents me from plonking an office chair at my dining table.....ugly!

CCCCreeeeeeek,, ouch. Ugh, err , ugh . It’s so strange the mind knows what to do , but the joints and ligament
Will not comply , this isn’t a fair situation ..... we all know what’s suppose to work , even fed the joints supplements
Only to have theses normal working parts , seemly have gone on strike against the processes that are suppose to happen .

I feel better when actually moving around, waling or running. When in bed, pains come out to play. Mostly, there are from poor posture growing up. Plus I sit too long here at the PC in an unsuitable chair! I wish I had a body-hugging one that could truly make me feel like captain of my own destiny, aboard the bridge of the Endless Quest.

don't skimp on a quality orthopedic chair. your body deserves the love, give it a good chair. and for posture, i flatten myself against a wall several times a day.

So do I, my friend. :wall:

so you are willing to sacrifice your back health for the aesthetics? once your back goes out on you, it seldom comes back in, i speak from experience. anyways, you should see my setup which is the least aesthetic possible.

Agrees with blabby about. People’s backs. Have to see a chiropractor myself , pretty regularly after all this time .

I will consider getting an orthopedic office chair on wheels so I can hide it when I am not using it. You are the voice of reason.

Some of these sorts of chairs aren’t as aesthetically dull as most.

I‘m sure Teach could let her creative juices flow, and maybe create a quilt for that chair—or anything that matches the prevailing decor.

If anything, I have the opposite problem. I'm flexible, but not in an athletic way. All my joints bend into wierd angles and are forever inflamed and painful. Only exception to that is Achilles' Tendons you could play the Kreutzer Sonata on.

5-lox inhibitor sourced from frankincense, concentrated curcumin essence with black pepper extract, act as natural anti-inflammatories. removing wheat, oats, sugar and flour from the diet, is also helpful.
