Once, a rival had criticized me for "going too slow" on a project (I was being meticulous again), and then convinced the new Big Boss that they should take it over to get it done faster.

"Sure", I said cheerfully.  "Here are all of my notes.  I cannot wait to see how you will bring it all together!"

:D "Have fun!  Call me if you need me!"

Three weeks later, the lab looked like a train wreck had taken place.  My notes were scattered, torn, and scribbled on, and the Boss gave me 7 days to produce a prototype or *I* would be dismissed.

It took three days, and the rival was personally "invited" by the Big Boss to seek employment elsewhere.
