Racing cars started using carbon-carbon brake disks - carbon fiber in an amorphous carbon matrix for maximum temperature resistance. If the coating got a nick, letting air contact the hot disk, it got called "designer coal."

Me (58 yr old female) Nope, never had an interest in it. I was in Girl Scouts and saw fire all the time, so maybe that's why? I also got burned to many times because I was clumsy so I wasn't a fan of fire.
Son (35 yr old MALE asd) yes. He liked fire as a kid, and still loves it, but he never played with any matches. He knew that was wrong, he still loves watching it through.
Husband (58 yr old male NT) Yes and yes.

Maybe it is more of a "guy thing"??
Warmly,
Jackie
