Rick Moranis' character in "Ghostbusters"--the boring accountant who becomes Vinz Clortho the Keymaster. We see him make several social blunders in the party at his apartment, including telling people how much money each couple makes, and not getting Sigourney Weaver's obvious hints that she isn't interested in him. And of course later he monologues about his special interests, Zuul and Gozer. :)

most of Rick Moranis's characters are at least ASish..but yeah....that is a pretty good example...

Anyway.....I am fixated on the notion of LV being an Aspie...not to mention Ewan McGregor's character...

When I owned this movie, I watched it over and over and over again....The whole movie is available in 10 parts on the you tube... :)

Here is another movie with an ASish character I am obsessed with...:

Bill Pullman in Zero Effect....

"Steve Arlo: [talking about his employer, Daryl Zero] I'm telling you he never even leaves the house, okay. I mean he's like some kind of recluse. Complete freak. No social life. In fact, no social skills. It's a strange f*****g thing. When he's working, the smoothest operator you've ever seen. Brave, slick, cunning, can do anything. Soon as he gets off work, it's all gone. Afraid to go to the dry cleaners. Literally. Too uncomfortable in his own skin to go out and eat. Tactless and inept. Rude, too. Just an a*****e."

The best aspie movie ive seen.

I totally agree, this is my favorite Aspie movie too! I highly recommend it.

Although, I must warn, it is not for the "faint of heart". There were some scenes that were quite upsetting. In the long run, though, it´s worth it. I think it´s going to be one of those movies that I watch over and over again...

This is my favorite movie ever. I watched it at least 10 times, and still want to watch it over and over again. I've never been able to get "into" a movie as much as this one. It's truly a work of art, and a brilliant debut for Nic Balthazar.

Going a bit old-school, the minor character Malvin in the movie WarGames, played by Eddie Deezen, is a classic ASD example.

I think Miles from the film Sideways could be on the spectrum. He's definitely socially awkward and his wine obsession undoubtedly qualifies as a special interest.
