Sean, i think you need to take your anger out. Now grab a baseball bat and beat that crap out your guns heh

seriously, guns are useful for the overthrow of the government once it fails to uphold the constitution... and in times of war. It also helps to keep a populace with gun experience for wartime.

When I am old enough I will apply to get multiple weapons licenses and then hopefully get a compound bow, a crossbow, a combat shotgun, a machete, a Desert Eagle (unlikely, but damn good gun), a katana, a rifle of some guide and also maybe an assault rifle (if they can relax gun laws). Then I will go off and buy a farm, and in the fields make my own bomb factpry and train my own paramilitary forces and take down the government.

To the best of my knowledge, there are no regulations here for compound bows, crossbows, machetes, or bayonets. Desert Eagles are leagal here. You may legally own assault rifles if they were purchased before 1994 and registered them, but they may not be sold or transfered to a new owner inside California State lines. Most other States don't treat assault rifles any differently than hunting or small caliber target rifles anymore.

There was a buch of artists recently in Mozambique. What they did was got loads of guns that had been handed in in some kind of firearms amnesty I think it was. They cut them up with angle-grinders and welded them into a big sculpture of a tree. It's an extremely beautiful sculpture. They called it 'The Tree of Life'.

Firearms amnesties in countries like that are usually preludes to genocide.

what on EARTH would anyone want a machine gun for? the wretched things are designed to kill lots of people, fast. i really don't think "self protection" comes under that heading - it's definitely assault rather than defence.

/me looks boggled...

Why on EARTH would somebody need a car capable of exceeding 75 mph? Thats the speed limit after all. All cars should be prevented from making any more power than that. Especially considering that the number of deaths from vehicles every year exceeds the number of firearm deaths by perhaps 1000 to 1.

Why on EARTH do bars exist? Being that the number of people leaving bars in taxis is next to nil, you can speculate that the overwhelming number of bar patrons drive drunk. Thus the only solution is to outlaw the public serving of alcohol.

Why on EARTH would anybody want a Big Mac, Pepporini Pizza, Ice Cream, or cheescake? Thousand die from obesity and heart attacks every year. There is no good reason to eat foods this unhealthy.

Freedom is based on the idea that people should be allowed to do anything they want that does interfere with other's ability to do the same. Just because you see no justified reason why somebody should own a firearm does not mean that they should be outlawed.

I had to tell my Mom that I am going to buy a shotgun today. :| Telling her became necessary to try and help avoid getting perscribed antipsychotic drugs I don't need. I was originally planning to walk into the house with it, let them come home and see me working on it, or if they were in a really good mood, tell them when I was on my way out the door to go pick it up and invite my Dad to come. My Mom doesn't approve, but she agreed not to try and stop me. :D

Yay! My dad hates fire arms, but he does not care about me owning a bow. ANd you can buy compound bows at any age in the UK. BUt only if you have around £600.

I'll have the money sooner than expected. Now, all I need to do is rehearse a good NT act for when I go to get it. I've done it before when pricing at other places.
