why don't anyone think my big lecture about AS is good? I thought that'd get through to a lot of these aspies. I'm just trying to say that there ain't a lot of difference between NTs and Aspies.
What gets me most is that all aspies think NTs are absolutely perfect in every way. That ain't true, not by a long shot.
My 18 year old cousin, who is a NT, is as awkward as they come. She has loads of mates, loves parties, wears make-up, dresses up, loves celebraties, has about 400 friends on facebook - you know, she's just a typical 18 year old - just a year younger than me, and I don't like none of that and I don't have 400 friends on facebook - only about 6 friends pffft! Laugh if you want! LOL But my cousin ain't - like you all aspies think - perfect. She sometimes acts like a 9 year old - laying about on the floor, can't be bothered to do anything for herself, ect.
She gets angry if one of her plans gets cancelled, and starts shouting at her Mum about it, although it's not her Mum's fault.
I'm talking about a typical young adult NT here.
So all aspies (except me) think: NTs are perfect in every way, have no habits, grow up good and proper as soon as they reach 15 or so, have no selfish ways at all, never anxious, never obsessive, love loud noises,
Read very carefully:
Shyness: I know some NTs who are incredibly shy, and hate parties
Gifted: My other NT cousin, 15 year old boy, is getting good grades in Science, Maths and Art
Strange habits: My NT brother, 13, keeps nodding his head a lot -a very noticable habit
Obsessive: My NT collegue loves guitars and collects everything to do with guitars, like Led Zeppelin albums, pictures of guitars, and is now building a music studio. You got to become obsessed to gain a good career and life
Meltdowns: Lots and lots of NT people experience breakdowns. I know LOADS of people who have had nervous breakdowns. My Mum, for example, and it wasn't because of me, it was because of her marriage and the loss of her sister
Loud noise: I was sitting on the bus the other day and a passenger - who I knew - put her hands over her ears when a loud ambulance siren roared by
Rude: Ohh! Blimey! I don't know how many times I go out in the street and come across rude people! Every single day I come across endless rude people. Someone barged out of a shop door right into me, and I thought was very rude.
Routines: Say no more!! Every single collegue at my work (who are all NTs) hate their days to be swapped. One of them wants to leave but is reluctant because of the change she will have to face.
Difficulty in relationship: Don't you people read magazines?! About 600 people split up in Britain EVERY DAY. Not many marriages last these days.
And, believe it or not, a survey was completed the other day about the reasons why people get divorced - and you do know what the answer was? 89 percent of marriages break up because of uncontrollable obsessions with someone else - which is another word for ''cheating''.
There. My word is done. Good day
