Some logos used when I was young (or were still around as part of reruns) included the Viacom "Purple V of Doom"; Mimsie, the MTM kitten; the Columbia Pictures Torch Lady and Sunburst logos; and Paramount Television's "blue mountain" and earlier "Split Rectangle" seen on many '70s era programs. This also led to my biggest fear...the Screen Gems Red S (from Hell)...ugh, that moog synthesizer jingle...

What about the classic MGM lion? (Which of course spawned the MTM Kitten.)

The reason that I was obsessed with Weddings as a kid, is because almost every Church Wedding is bassically the same, and there's a sequence that's followed. I was also a bit of a Romantic.

Ah yes, how could I forget???? Me and my friend LOVED Leo back in the day...we once thought up (but never executed) a plan where when he slept over, we'd wait till my sister slept and then pick her up and put her by my dog. Then, we'd turn on a cassette that had MGM at the beginning and trick her into thinking she was by a real lion!! !

Other things I was obsessed with when I was a kid (and even later!):

Probably a local NJ thing, but when there were underground cables nearby, they used to place a yellow sign on a nearby telephone poll warning people not to dig in that area. Usually it would have one of the two classic "Bell System" logos, which I also loved (that and the square blue "Phone" sign that indicated where a pay phone was). I clearly recall being yelled at by my grandmother when we went out to eat, and I saw one of the yellow signs on a post just by the entrance in the parking lot. She thought I was going to go into the highway!! !!

After packing up my things since my mother is moving and I had to move my stuff, I should add electronic devices, books, and vinyl records - I have tons, almost all of which I've gotten at thrift stores and rummage sales (which I haven't been to lately - I still haven't nearly gone through all the stuff I have yet and I always get stuff, so I just stopped going).

You and my brother would SOOO get along. He knows all the episodes and has seasons 1-8 all on DVD. He also has all of the first season of Atlantis. He doesn't know everyone, but I would say he knows 75% of the episodes, by plot and season number.

Mine was dinosaurs, but that fizzled when I no longer had any books to read. Movies have lasted through the ages, though and my other faded interests spark curiosity every now and then.

No pics, though. I'm at uni at the moment.
