I associate people with colors. My dad is blue and black, sister is usually orange... my brother is brown and green. One aunt is like a barn-red. One uncle is yellow. a diffrent aunt is green or blackandwhite.
My moms is....a purpldy-greenish blue. 8O Stuff like that.

Except its like I feel the colors first and then see them, sorta. Like i don't "see" them with my real eyeballs... :? :?

Ok...grr... I see person. I feel. Then I feel color. Then I think Color. Does that make AnY sense?

I associate letters as male/female. like A is male B female C male D female E male..... O female P female .. R female S female T both, usually male.... X both.. Z male.

Numbers have feelings....but not like happy/sad.

I can feel sounds/songs, but Not "feel" like nts mean it. and I like to make up stories to go along with a song, but it usually has nothing to do with what is being sung. Its like a story where the song fits in, and associated with the feel of the music and it, like i said, usually has nothing to do with whats being sung. Or if it does, its in a different context.

Oh my! 8O

Chalkboards.....it depends on the person, i'v heard.

Umm...can you(anybody) actually look some people in the eye most of the time and then other people you absolutely can't? See, I try to make an effort to look people in they eye when talking to them, but with some people I get so uncomfortable I feel like fleeing.

I know its an aspie trait, just wondering if someone else was capable of actually looking at some people.

I understand what you mean about people having colors that first you feel then see...my friend Faye is all browns reds and oranges and my husband is swirly red purple and black.

When it comes to letters being masculine and feminine, I have the same thing except with numbers. For some reason odd numbers tend to be masculine, even feminine, though prime numbers are super masculine.

Looking people in the eye...I can look my husband in the eye, my parents and some EXTREMELY close friends (people I've known since I was absolutely tiny) but anyone else makes my heart jump into my throat. Once I was talking to a teacher who insisted on it, he thought I didn't respect him, and it got so bad I ran out of the class into the bathroom and threw up

As for numbers:
1: white / slight blueish hue
2: yellow
3: orange
4: some reddish hue (more piercing)
5: another reddish hue (deeper)
6: orange (but no the same as 3)
7: green
8: brown
9: light brown
10: white

0. white
1. black

3. yellowish white
4. red
5. yellow
6. pink
7. orange
8. purple
9. dark blue

i don't think this is uncommon, but i used to do this all the time too. and once i made up a little song about "the mads" because there was all angry cars chasing us. my little sister started calling ALL the cars "the mads" and i had to explain that some of the cars she was pointing at were happy and friendly and not "mads" at all. other stuff like bulidings too-- i was always thinking of them having personalities based on their face and their colors. the drain in the shower was very creepy and sad.

When I was around 6 I also couldn't help intepreting faces (which I didn't necessarily like) in objects like cars, doorknobs, buildings. . . I would look at cars; their "faces" and their colors and automatically figured out personalites and tastes (blue or violet would taste bitter - some looked aggressive or goofy due to headlights shape and position).

I had one of those weird pokey ceilings, the kind where it looks like the paint dried dripping or something (I think it's called 'Slapbrush') and I see faces in it everywhere. It's really creepy especially at night. I always got mad at my dad because he didn't see it, but mom and I would sit around and point them out to each other.

Ugh, I know what you mean about certain noises. When they happen they make my teeth itch, my ears ache, my eyes water... it's horrible, haha.

Sometimes I see swirls of colours... it happened a lot when I was younger, but not so much these days.

I do see colours around people's bodies though, I guess what new-age types would call an aura, and the colours always relate to their personality. Like, some of my teachers were really wise, and they had a kind of pretty golden-white glow. Mine is a turquoise blue, which is kinda what I would associate with being a deep thinker. One of my friends is red and she's angry all the time, has a lot of issues, and the red just makes it worse. My brother goes kinda green sometimes. I saw someone who was purple once and just about flipped, no idea why. And a guy with a really dirty, murky brown/black came into a shop once and he scared me so much I literally bolted from the shop and ran till I was around the corner... I'd love to know what he gets up to, if he's like a muderer or something.

You can make a lot of money out of this.

I have synaestesia to some degree as well.
But when I "see" things, hey're not super-imposed on my vision or something.
That would be a road hazard, I think.
I see it in my "mind's eye", or the memory of it is evoked.
I guess (hope) it works like this for other people as well? (Otherwise if you constantly get stuff blocking your vision, it's maybe best for you to stay out of traffic ;) )

I often mix up concepts, tastes, smells, sounds, colors and shapes.
Different letters, numbers, days of the week, etc. have different colors.
My friends find it amusing to ask me what things taste like, for example.
I'd say things like "This ale tastes like blue, vacuum cleaner and the surface of a lemon peal." (taste>color/concept/tactile)
Getting a massage is an interesting experience. I see an explosion of shapes and colors depending on how I'm touched. (tactile>shape/color)
When the tram locks the doors before going to the next stop, there is a sound that feels like tightening your sphincter. (sound>tactile/concept)
I saw a shower head that looked "evil". (visual>concept)
