I know a few people who are extremely insecure regarding their IQ. So insecure, in fact, that they see everything as a threat to their number. They will them make it their absolute priority to tell everyone just how dumb they are, over and over again.
I used to be more insecure. But now I see the reasons behind it. Enough said.
Mirror mirror on the wall...There was a person who killed themselves when their boyfriend [or girlfriend, can't remember which] got better result than them in an IQ test on the yearly BBCs test the nation show.
IQ means little.
I feel sorry for that person.
People who place too much value on IQ scores usually don't feel they have anything else of value. How can a person like that be truly happy? They can't, and they won't.
IQ does measure "intelligence", but it doesn't measure anything else. And, mind you, "intelligence" is a
very difficult thing to measure. Not even those tests which take Multiple Intelligences into account are 100% accurate.
