All the time :(
Science is the worst, because I'm so bored there. I find when I'm stressed or depressed I space out too (which means I don't know what's been happening for much of the day)

I always seem to be spacing out, and in my year's assembly at school I was stood at the back once, and managed to "watch" myself faint.

Normally my mind just "wanders" through any thoughts it wants when I am supposed to be concentrating on a specific thing - I get sidetracked so unbelievably easily.

I only space out that way (completely oblivious to the world around) when I am alone

Otherwise, I kind of shut down but am still aware of the sounds around me, like the TV or whatever. Someone can be talking to me and I can hear it, but I still dont respond or process it.

I have done it all my life. Teachers didn't like it.

I space out all the time - in class, with friends, etc. especially if i'm not a part of a convarsation.

I guess my imagination tends to run wild, I'll often think of other things...

Yeah, me too. Last year while camping, a buddy came up to me, as I was spacing out at the campfire, and said " I would love to know what you are thinking right now". I told him that I wasn't thinking anything, just spacin' out. To this day, I don't think he believed me. He must of thought I was devising some evil plan or something. Who knows?

Yup, I'm a spacer-outer too... During conversations, in the middle of classes/lectures/presentations/talks, while walking around in public, while sitting at my desk... while doing pretty much anything (well, many things anyway).

Often times I will stare off in the distance, or look up and away while doing so. I've been teased many times by friends (in a good natured way) for this tendency.

I think I have a nasty case of Spacepergers. I zone out all the time into imaginative and deep thought, usually when I am bored.
