I can't touch previously hot food which has cooled down - it makes me retch. I get very annoyed about this, because it makes cleaning up the kitchen horrible, and half the time I'm sure the food tastes just fine cold, but I can't go near it. Microwaving makes it ok again though :)
Almost as bad, I *have* to touch shiny, brightly coloured, smooth and fluffy things, and get in trouble for patting clothes (my own or other peoples) when I shouldn't.

I cant stand dirt or sand on my hands, the feeling just gives me chills, everybody in my family thinks Im just a sissy who doesnt like to get dirty.(I havent told them about my AS yet, I have hid it from them)

What I do like is silk of satin, I love how it feels I catch myself playing with the tags on the back of my shirts, or ripping out the tags to play with them, Weird huh? lol

One of my childhood phobias were cold chicken drumsticks. My mom always packed them as food on trips (especially long car drives), and the tin foil she wrapped around them used to stick to the chicken skin - yuk!

Also, I don't like touching wooden spoons or wooden popsicle sticks.

I can't read most books because of the texture and they make a sound that drives me crazy, for school I had to wear latex gloves to read assignments. Also sand and snow make a hideous sound when you walk on them that makes me hate both.

I wouldn't wear jeans until about grade 13 either. Just couldn't stand them. Always wore jogging pants.

Still can't even look at that slippery pseudosilk texture at the top of those blankets with the fluffy pseudo-wool hook and loop type texture without freaking. nevermind touch it.

I can FEEL it just thinking about it.
It sends shivers and cringes through my whole body.
And a desire to shake the feeling of it off my whole body by doing a jig.

I also can't bite into a peach. That fur on it is *shudder*, though I love nectarines.

Most of my other sensory issues are auditory and smell.

I can't touch cotton buds, cotton wool, wool, dry sponges, seaweed, oil, dirty plates, food crumbs of any kind, things that I think have germs on so school tables, door handles etc I have to wash my hands after that. I used to cut the tags off all of my clothes, now I just don't buy tshirts with weird dry lables.

I used to hate the feel of grass as a child, wouldn't go near the stuff. I grew out of that and the only thing I can't touch now is cotton wool, it feels like being electrocuted.

Wool (too rough, makes my hands feel really hot)
Silk (too smooth and slimy)
Tags (itchy)

I also hate shortsleeves, turtlenecks, and jeans.

Edit: And newspapers
