I sleep under heavy weight - a quilt and a minke blanket. The quilt is usually turned sideways across my bed so that I have a section of the minke blanket to cover my head.

Does anyone else put blankets over their head? I have done that since I was a kid...I also always HAVE to have a blanket to get to sleep at night!

am use a heavy duty rug instead of blanket, put it over head in sitting up position on bed, covers every part of am,am do it to try make feel better, though not in the same way as putting the rug over body when lying down, not usually as bad then.
for sleep am wear a grey hooded top [hood up].

i do this... i sleep with my head on my arm, and i like how it gets warm and sticky on my arm... i also need it pitch black and quiet and warm to sleep...

id much prefer being mummy wrapped in a giant blood pressure cuff and squeezed really tightly though, that would put me to sleep instantly

When in doubt, ask an autistic. Chances are, they're obsessed with what you need to know.

Have you tried sleeping in a sleeping-bag? The ones we had in the military had a hood that you could pull over your head. I always used to pull the zipper almost shut, so only my nose peeked out. It gave me a wonderful feeling of privacy when I was sleeping in a shelter with twenty other soldiers.

a sleeping bag probably wouldnt work very well... i dont like the material they make them from... maybe if it were blood pressure cuff nylon, or latex, or neoprene...

I did this, in addition to always having to sleep with my back to the wall because I thought if I did that then there was no opening for Satan (yes, SATAN) to attack me.

I sometimes wake up with a cat on my face. I don't know how relevant to this discussion that is. :D
