Dude, the only reason I know what I do about current events is because Ronald Reagan is one of my heroes, and I dabble a bit in political affairs because of that- also because of him, I'm really into the Cold War, and hate Soviets. Regardless, most people listen/read the news because they want to feel important and ACT like they're smart. Let them think you're stupid- the majority of the customers I deal with at work are braindead, so far as I'm concerned. And just remember- most of those people you hearing bashing this or that candidate/politician, or whatever else....probably wouldn't do much better anyway- like the majority of humans, they just like to shoot their mouths off and act important.

I've said it once, and will say it again- "current events" is basically people doing the same stupid things over and over again for thousands of years, and never actually understanding why it doesn't work. That's current events for you- isn't it exciting?

I don't know... I seem to pick up just about anything I put my mind to and not forget easily. I think I may deal with low latent inhibition. The good thing is, I can talk about a variety of topics, learn stuff and use it. (I don't really keep up with many of the current events though, unless it is something that perks my interest. That rules out Hollywood, many sports, music charts etc...)

The bad thing is I may find myself overstepping boundaries to offer advice or talk about things that really are not my business but I happen to know anyway...
