Question does not really affect me much because i am in a wheelchair. but my arms i like to keep them moving even if its in really small motions unless i am relaxing. usually i will stim when i am not doing anything by rubbing my neoprene harness. it feels good on my hands.

When in doubt, ask an autistic. Chances are, they're obsessed with what you need to know.

I have a deep hatred for holding completly still.
I can't say too much about it now because it makes me sick just thinking about the torment I've had with being told to freeze, hold still, "stop doing that", stop moving....
If someone ever tells me to hold still or anything similar, I will immediately melt down.
I am always in motion, whether it is with life processes, very slight fidgeting, or noticable stimming.

I'm never still. I'm always pacing, flapping my hands or fidgeting with things. I can never sit still and it drives my teachers and mother crazy. The only time I'm still is when I'm really tired or when I'm sick.
