I did not expect a lot of these responses thus far, but I like reading them.

What about big lights versus small lights in Christmas lighting. You know how you can buy the mini ones or these large ones that look like the ones Chevy Chase used in that movie?

Uhhh.... Come again? Well, I'm going to take a guess, and say I prefer the standard small ones...

I bought LED lights for the christmas tree this year, when i was putting them on they would move and it gave me a really bad headache and made me sick on my stomach. As long as they are still they are fine but when they move or blink I cant stand it.

i was raised to appreciate simple white/clear x-mas lights, elegantly and minimally placed, along with wreaths, candles and other basic decorations.
hence, my house is just outlined strands of white lights on the roofline and around some windows.
this year i have one strand encircling the big oak tree in the front yard.
it's classic and beautiful without being distracting.

meanwhile, the crackhead lunatics next door basically threw variously colored sets of lights all over their front yard and house, and have them synched up with a muzak x-mas carol soundtrack to alternately flash and blink. the place looks like a freaking madhouse on bad drugs.
i have a very low opinion of my neighbors, so this behavior doesn't surprise me. but the whole carny-atmosphere is VERY ANNOYING and is very tough to look at.

i like simple things

I love Christmas Lights. They're one of the many wonderful things that make the holiday season bright. I love the green LEDa that I have on my white tree. I love all types of Christmas lights, in any arrangement. They look very pretty in the snow. One of my first childhood memories, are of Christmas lights. :O)

Ever since I can remember, I have had a love of blue Christmas lights. I used to have a couple strands up around my bedroom wall. Blue lights only or blue and white together are the only combinations I like for the outside of a house. (I like multicolored for a Christmas tree.) My mom started putting up blue and white lights on our house a few years ago, because she knew that I hated all of the other combinations and would complain.
