It's one of those You know you're an aspie when... things.

Its just been me, Mr. Bean, and Dr. Who this evening...

I have had some new years eve treats and had some candles burning for that festive glow. I had a new years eve dinner out (sushi), and I have gifts from the "new year" to greet me tomorrow (old tradition in my family - not sure if it is made up or not, we always got a small gift from the new year on the 1st, presumably to ensure luck for the rest of the year

. If anyone else had this tradition, speak up, so far everyone I have ever told this to has never done such a thing, although I may have started the tradition in one or two households since

).
I spent Christmas by myself too - beyond the inconvenience of reassuring well wishers that I wasn't "hard done by"/depressed because I was alone, it was actually kind of nice. I had 20 hours of star trek (courtesy the space channel), I had a turkey dinner and christmas goodies, and no family politics or cruelness (every year, someone leaves upset, in tears, insulted or outraged at some family member's rude behavior, and I have to say - it was nice to give that a miss this year).
I raise a glass to one and all, and wish you good tidings in the year to come!
