I don't think I've actually met any aspies in person. I think they could be good friends. However, I think that I would prefer a NT girlfriend to an aspie. I'm not totally sure though.

I think one reason why many Aspies seek out Aspies is because it's a way of bypassing the MTV-fueled obsession with social class, and being compared to Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian, Spencer Pratt, etc.

yeah that bothered me in school as well, all of the "social" postering that goes on. from my freshman year of HS up until my senior year at lunch I usually just went to the library to read. of course, on the days when the library was locked at lunchtime I'd sit right outside of it and read. senior year I made a few friends and was comfortable enough around them to actually eat during lunch. don't think there was an aspie among them, but they were cool to me.

I would say "yes" I do seek out other aspies, and I'm pretty sure that's why I am always on this site. I live in a small town and, as far as I know, I'm the only one here. I'm sure there are others, but I have yet to meet any. It would be nice to be able to talk to someone who thinks similar to the way I think(in person). Someday it will happen.
