That's ok. I'm used to to guys thinking I don't know what I'm talking about. How could you possibly know I was a customs agent?

I would have said exactly the same thing to another guy.

And the fact that you even knew what DCA was (not so much ATL or SFO) indicated to me that you knew a lot more than the average person, so I definitely did not think you didn't know what you were talking about.

Guess I know what chip I wear on MY shoulder. I see others on this site go all crazy - I guess it was my turn.

Girl! You DON'T write like a 13 year old. But don't go changing! I love reading your stuff.

I read a bunch of my old stuff and I couldn't believe how wise I was when I was your age. Kind of creepy, actually. Hang on to all this. You'll freak your adult-self out someday.

Thanks! :)

Me, too. Grrr.... it only sucks when they find out you're NOT and treat you like an idiot. I've noticed that the guys on WP shut you down/out when they find out you're a chick.

Whatev....

Really? Nobody's ever done that to me.

Having to hug one person at a time is bad enough, let alone a group hug. Heh.

Edit: 400th post!

I always virtual hug. It takes some persuasion to get a real one from me, though. Huggy person that I am, it's still not really my style.

You can always guage my opinion of people at a social event when it's time to leave.
A hug is very positive feedback, but I always look for mutuality first
A handshake is positive feedback
Apathy/ignorance is zero to negative feedback

So if I ignore you at the big departure, it can mean a number of things.
Either:
a) I am undecided, and might like you, just don't know yet,
b) Decided, but no opinion whatsoever
or
c) Dislike you (but give it time. Could just have been a tough day)

Online, I'm not like that though. If I think someone is being ridiculous or nasty, I give them extra hugs. A sort of replacement for the perceived lack of niceness. It's pretty much the same for people I particularly like, as the more hugs equal more affection.

((((hugs))))

Sometimes I feel like I would like a hug in real life (like right now), but I don't really know anyone I feel comfortable hugging.

Virtual hugs are good though.

*hugs*

Here's a tip. BE the hugger, air-kisser, vigorous hand-shaker, back-slapper...The best defense is a good offense, right? Seriously...!

It's an art worth learning and knowing. Only 1 in 20 will recoil and right away you pick it up and store away that information. (I remember every dead-fish handshake I've ever had.)

Then it's on your terms and you can show some dominance. Little gestures like the two handed covered handshake can establish dominance OR comfort OR both.

Oh - and people always think I'm younger - even in person.

No, but many people think I'm a guy, even with my real life avatar. :)

It's funny, I've had mixed reactions but nevertheless black and white. Just as I'm accused of of being both insensative and overly sensative.

I'm either too mature or too immature. I'm 26 BTW.

Actually, I do feel rather immature for my age as I have a hard time relating to many adults.
