Is there a way to get undiagnosed?

Thanks, fiddlerpianist. I was wondering about that. It's good to know that law still applies.

While on that subject, one thing I do wonder about...when they computerize the records will that keep them from getting erased. Sometimes records get destroyed after a period of time. That happened to me. I tried to get my childhood records from a hospital and they were gone. I had no access to them and I really wanted to see what was in them. I think it would have helped to have a copy to read. Instead it's like it never happened.
I don't think that should be allowed. I think the medical records should always be there and patients should always have access to them so there is always a record of the decisions that have been made and what was done.
I feel sorta exploited by the medical community. Things happened in my childhood that I didn't really understand and wish I had more control over. Instead I went along because I was led to believe something that wasn't going to be true. Given a false hope. This has impacted my life rather negatively and I wonder if it was really worth it. The results were worth the treatment.

You just have to prove that you were misdiagnosed before and the same or another psychiatrist can just delete the diagnosis from your medical report.

If you improved and want it removed because of that you either have to find a psychiatrist who goes with recent American trends (diagnosing autism, curing it, undiagnosing autism because he or she thinks autism isn't life-long) or find someone whom to lie to to about your past symptoms so that they think you never actually had AS to begin with.
