I can relate to this.

...you get called odd for having no interest in relationships. Your Aspie friend tells you he also had no interest in relationships when he was your age.

My friend thinks I'm a lesbian just because I don't see the big deal of kissing a girl. I don't think that automatically makes you a lesbian also I'm extremely picky with guys and I don't think hardly any celebrities are hot so now she's all suspicious. She's always like "It's okay you can tell me." That's why I think I'm borderline asexual.

I was once asked if I'm a lesbian because I have no interest in relationships. :?

I'm picky with guys too. it's not unusual for me to go months or years and not be interested in anyone.

Oh dear. Me too. It didn't even occur to me that was not a thing that everybody felt. A.I. bots are predictable but also come up with various hilariously entertaining non sequiturs, and you can say anything at all to them and they won't get offended - it just makes them say more of the deadpan, dry non sequiturs.

You have some one who wants to be your friend (for whatever reasons) and it's has you amused and than perplexed , what is wrong with this person?

Are they suffering from some debilitating psychological problem that I should be afraid of ? why would they want to be my friend ? what can I offer them?

Violent self loathing ain't it lovely ?

If you are so obsessed with LEGO that you know that it should always be capitalized and can not be plural. Also seeing it incorrect makes your skin crawl and it becomes impossible not to correct it!

There are pens standing up on end everywhere in your house (the ones with a flat top or bottom). And you keep them like it until someone knocks it down.

[quote="Gazelle"]I can relate to what several people have written here in previous posts. I have not tried the Sims computer game, but would like to someday.

You know you're an Aspie if:

11. Also sometimes you do not have always have common sense even though you are intelligent and are also book smart and not always street smart.

Can relate to this:
1. Getting told your smart but stupid (took a while to comprehend this)
2. Making everyone move seats cos they are just not sitting where they usually do
3. Not eating/drinking stuff that isn't close to room temperature
4. You get along better with your uni tutors than you do with your classmates
5. Your workmates warn new staff you may not appear friendly
6. You get asked a question about social relationships and ask 'can you be more specific' over and over until it becomes really clear
7. You can recite pi to 46 decimal places and describe functions of atoms in minute detail but the appearance of tears renders you quizzical.... The list goes on!

... you're moving away from a place where you've felt like crap for a whole year, but you're still feeling anxious about the change.

(Moving tonight, wish me luck)

I've just spent three days reading the entire thread, laughed out loud many times! :-D

Mike 1 wrote: "...You become annoyed when someone says there are 365.25 days in a year when you know that there are really 365.26 days in a year."

Try 365.24 :-D (the next decimals depending on more specific definition of "year").

I'd say this is an NT thing; aspies are not that jumpy about stuff that does not involve socializing (right?)

You might also be an aspie if...

...you hope the highschool yearbook will mention that you won the national maths olympiad, and instead the majority of the text is about how much you suck at gymnastics, and you had no idea this was an issue at all.
...you get a PhD at 25, and nobody attends the thesis examination.

...you habitually point out the grammatical/spelling errors in newspapers, books, videos, and other's written assignments.
...you point out the professor's mistakes before anyone else notices them (if they even notice at all).
