not yet, currently at around $189.

Should be some more coming in the mail, like currently expecting one from MONIQUEJ, but they're unknown quantities thus far 'cause most people who said they'd send never specified just how much. Like i got one for $72 via paypal today which bumped me up from the $120 i mentioned before. I was never told it was going to be $70, kinda surprised me with that one.
& still also haven't heard back from Hale_bopp, Rainsong, Moog, & Melbi. Also CockneyRebel & Happymusic, though CockneyRebel might've sent via mail, and it's possible it just hasn't gotten here yet and Happymusic said she was waiting til the end of the month when her paycheck came.

her phone can't send photos, her mom took it off 'cause she was sending too many to her friends and running up the bill.

if i could get ahold of her mom, yeah sure. Though the last couple times i was on the phone with adrienne she fell asleep on me before i could get anything more than the medical info. Prolly between the sleepy effects of the new anti-depressents she's been taking lately (clonazepam & lorazepam) and the anemia from the resulting blood loss (one of the things with the cancer is that she's having bloody stools), which incidentally explains the headaches as well & chest pains she's been having. She said that she's going to hand off her cell to her friend Megan though before she goes in for the surgery, so i'll see if i can make contact via her.

The thing is that if this is all true, and your girlfriend, ( who you said you had talked about marrying ), wants you to be there with you, then *surely* her mom would be more than ready and willing to make the small effort required to help you raise funds for the plane ticket to get there by taking a photo of Adrienne in her hospital bed/room so that people on WP could see that she wasn't scamming you.

PS. Hasn't Adrienne given you her mom's phone number yet, so that you can contact her directly? And couldn't she ask her mom to take the photo?

Are you sure that they want to you to manage to get there? I realise that if the story is true they must all be feeling rather under pressure, and stressed, but if you really are the love of A's life I would have thought that her mom would have wanted to help you be there, at least talk to you anyway about what's happening, etc.

true, i've no doubt she'd want to help. Can't picture her having problems with just a photo either, like she did with the medical papers. So theoretically, it should work out. I'll see what i can do.

actually, come to think of it, all the symptoms are starting to make sense. Melbi even mentioned anemia as being one symptom of stomach cancer. & the anemia accounts for some of the signs that were confusing me in the beginning, like the headaches which made me think she meant the tumor was a brain one, the chest pains she mentioned, though that also would prolly just go with the stomach tumor since it's in the chest region, and the tiredness and lack of energy she's experiencing :o . Now that i have more information things are finally starting to fall into place...

UPDATE:

Anyways, talked to her best friend Megan who has her phone, and according to her, the surgery went okay, though apparently Adrienne's still pretty sore and groggy from it. No real word on the medical status aside from that, though i asked her if she could get Adrienne's mom's number the next time she goes to visit.

Yeah. In-laws. Or nearly, anyway. Awkward. I guess it would be a good safety thing to have her number anyway.
Except..my boyfriend's mom called my cell phone and wanted to know if I wanted to go with her to get a "sno cone..." 8O .... :oops: weird.
Hopefully her mom won't keep bothering you if you guys trade numbers.
