We should all do a fast version of the Hokey Pokey to "Hollywood Swinging'" by Kool and the Gang.

Here at wrong planet and at support groups going I have attended going off topic is common place. It used to bother me until I figured it out that it is probably an autistic thing. Autistic traits and narcissistic traits are similar so Autistic people are often accused of bieng narcissists. My quess is that the tendency to go off topic has something to do with Executive dysfunction.

Getting back on topic anybody self diagnosing as autistic needs to take into account the similarities in traits between autism and a number of other conditions.
Going off topic every now and then in casual conversation is just a natural human thing and it happens in almost all casual conversations. It's normal. There is nothing wrong with it and the topic can be pulled back in at any time.

It's garbage coming out of your mouth. From whence does it emanate?

So you're going to address ME?

Nobody meant to "profile" you, buddy.

We agree that people who self-diagnose/self-identify should not say, definitely, that they are "autistic." They can go as far as saying "I strongly suspect that I have autism."

Why is it that you're so hostile?
Nobody has profiled him. But he has profiled others.

They certainly do, but they aren't honest, because you say with "utmost respect" however you have shown a total lack of respect for Skibum with your words.

You're correct, dianthus.

Tough week - not helped by the personal responses of certain users.

However, yes, skibum, I do apologise.

And yes - call it an 'attempt to offend everyone as an act of defence' (I don't actually agree with anything I wrote).

Again, apologies.

But - a personal lynch mob against an individual is not good fare. And if you wish to discuss personal details regarding users, do so in PM's.

You can make someone feel very isolated by such posts.

Humor has it's place.
As a Laughologist I sometimes can take myself way to seriously and I'm more likely to get what I call diarrhea of the mouth rather than in print.

When wrong promptly admit it is something I try to live.
In that vein I try not to put myself insituations where I have to do it.

Finding things in my life that matched folks with Aspergers or Autism and work stress led me to a professional.

While in college and workshops I wrongly diagnosed other things in me. Actually I'm not qualified to diagnose anything.
