MDYAR~ Why are you being arrogant and rude etc...? Is it your idea of fun to be so negative?

I guess you have nothing worthwhile to add here, I suggest you are on the wrong website, and not just the wrong planet...jeez!

Move on.

Oh come on.

You have not addressed a thing here, David.

Oh I have, I have addressed your unnecessary comments and aggravating remarks. Have you been diagnosed officially with anything?

You have not addressed this: Why make this your business?

if they really want a diagnosis then they will save up for one, mine was free.

Yours being free doesn't mean everyone elses is.

You can't save up if you are dirt poor and spending every cent you have on things like rent or food and you certainly can't save up if you have no income at all.

Then there is still the issue of finding a place you can actually get to that accesses adults since many only do children.

well they have their own pc and car etc..... they can get afford it but it might take a year of so. still better than selfdiagnosing.

Who says they do? Not everyone with aspergers has a car or even works.

I'll use myself as an example. My income is $0. I current have $6 and some change. I don't have a car and don't drive. I have no way to save up thousands of dollars to get diagnosed. Just be glad that you are lucky enough to live in a country with socialized medicine. I don't.

I was lucky enough to manage to get Medicaid recently but if people can't they are screwed. Without that I would have had to go without treatment for a potentially fatal medical problem because I don't have many thousands of dollars to pay for treatment. They wouldn't even give me tests without cash up front and then waited for the Medicaid for the really expensive ones.

I want to look into getting a diagnosis but I don't know where to go yet and I want to get my medical stuff taken care of first before I look for a place.

davidgolfpro you're being very judgmental of people that you have no idea what their circumstances are. Saying someone should just save up for it is in some cases like telling a homeless person they should just save up for a house. It's not productive.

It's fine is you don't believe people have the ability to accurately self asses but understand it is none of your business. If you're worried about public opinion then take a hard look at your own attitude.
