It's rather frustrating right now. I just tried calling and got a text back from her mom telling me off for calling while Adrienne's asleep. I didn't know she was asleep. Not exactly something i automatically know. So, I sent a text back asking for her number so i could call her instead,
but as of yet no text reply from her mom yet. ://///

PS. The last time you spoke to your gf was on Friday sometime, is that right? I'm thinking that she's getting rather worried about you nearly having enough money for the plane fare, and how to put you off from coming without blowing the story ...

... unless she's simply very ill and groggy and your trying to call her all the time is annoying them/her mother. ... ... ... But why doesn't A call you on a regular basis herself in that case, to solve that problem, ( whenever she's awake, each evening or whatever )? ... ... ...

Heyy there. I really hope this situation turns out to be okay for you. I can't donate but I can offer thoughts and prayers for you and your girlfriend. It'll be such a beautiful story if does turn out to be okay and you are able to be by her side.

With that said, it doesn't seem as if she makes her relationship with you a priority. Normally even couples online will find a way to talk, no matter what the situation is. Phone calls could at least be a minute or two and there is always texting and e-mail (mostly if you have a smart phone).

Also, I do have to mention it seems a little "off" that she needs so much of her mothers approval at her age. I'm only eighteen but if I had cancer and my boyfriend was trying to raise funds to visit me, I would do everything possible to get him there. As in, I would update him every day or every other day as to how things are going, scan records for him (but black out personal info) so he could be more informed, tell him about most of the hotels and business that will be most helpful to him when he stays in my town, and save money to help him out when he gets there. I definitely don't need my mom's approval for this stuff. If she doesn't like my boyfriend, then she can deal with it. If she thinks he calls to much...well, she wouldn't know how much he calls in the first place (cause it's my cell and on vibrate), and he can just text. It's none of her business who I talk to anyways. Seriously. This visit could be relationship or even life changing. By the way, medications won't make someone sleep 24 hours a day, and she could, if she wanted to, fit in a few minutes to call you. If it's too late to call; well that's why they made texting.

P.S. be aware if your girlfriend is suddenly in remission and she says you don't have to visit anymore, or if the doctors made another mistake about her diagnoses and she doesn't really have cancer, or if shes says her mom won't pay her medical bills if she continues to talk to you, making excuses for you not having to visit, etc. We all know what that would mean.

Good luck!

honestly,,,, a couple of dollars spent in naive belief is worth a thousand spent in the wake of agonized research.

the dollars that he gets from me are innocent and naive ones , and if it is all a scam, then i will feel no lesser in myself for being fooled.

there are lovely people and there are careful people.

just give a few dollars and be a lovely person even if it means that your dollars were sucked into a scam.

never give more than you can afford and then all is ok ..no matter what the circumstance turns out to be.

i trust him and if he is being hoodwinked then i was hoodwinked with him.
i will not be poorer in any way for giving to what i thought was a valid situation even if it turns pot to be a ruse..

it looks like i will have to give him the rest of the money because you are all biting your nails in skepticism.

let your hearts be taken with little evidence and you will find that the genuine things in life outweigh the con's to a great degree. you do not have to be your own pilot for the rest of your life.
if this is a con, then i will learn a cheap but valuable $200 lesson.

You have a good hart B9! i hope your good will comes back to you 3 fold.

I've been thinking this too.

Me too!

Exactly. I don't understand that either; why she can't/won't call him when she is awake, if only to say that she is awake and for him to call back ( if it's a question of bills ).

:( It's not looking good.

Twenty hours since you last posted on WP, seanmw. Hope you are ok? :) :?

I was thinking, two completely contradictory things:

1 ) Maybe she has been telling you the truth some or most of the time, and one true thing is that she *is* aspie/autie, and she has been loving your relationship by forum/email/text and phone ... but the prospect of seeing/meeting you in the flesh terrifies her, and the more likely it seems that you will get over there the less she wants to talk to you? ... ... ...

2 ) If she really doesn't want you to visit, for whatever reason, and/or you establish that she has not been telling the truth at all, or not much, :( you at least have a few/couple of hundred dollars to treat yourself to something really nice instead, lots of DVDs, a holiday somewhere, whatever! :D :lol

Take care. I hope your absence the last 20 hours is just because you have been catching up on some sleep. :)

Yeah, i'm ok. I got some sleep, spent the day in town; read books in Barnes & Noble, watched my little sister, walked around, etc,
