how come the authorities wont assess you for free?

You still don't get it? I live in the US where you have to pay money or have insurance or you don't get medical care.

oK that's tough. I was diagnosed this year with Aspergers at 44, and it was free, but we are luck in England as all health care is statutory.

I was assessed by having to fill out questionnaries, my mum did too, then they assessd the results and then offered me an appointment at the CLASS clinic Cambridge. the assessment lasted about 2.5 hours and iwas told a week later my diagnosis, then a bout a week later i received my report.
I have researched about Aspergers alot now and wish i had had support whilst growing up. i was totally alone.

Most of the times, I don't tell it people, too. In fact, I don't want them to know it. However, I think it's a lot harder trying to improve on your own. And you need a diagnosis made from a specialist if you want to receive professional help. Only for this. Not for telling people you have it at work or at school.

It may be harder to improve on your own but I've always done everything on my own. I'm self educated, often self employed, I grown my own food and I hunt it too. I don't rely on other people if I can help it.

I'm here because of your arrogance and ignorance, and the fact that you have insulted many of WP members....

David, are you unable to see yourself as others see you?

Nasty, unkind and hostile?

Very old thread has turned into a forum for trading insults, therefore locked.
