I don't like chunky either. But only because I like my pb to melt on my toast and the chunky is too dry .

I always mix my PB with butter or oleo to sidestep that problem, as it tends to stick to the roof of my mouth otherwise.

I always used to butter the toast first before putting on pb, but now that's too many calories for me. But as a kid, that was my normal way of eating it. I do sometimes put it in the microwave for just a few seconds to melt it.

being that I don't eat many refined carbs anymore, that spares enough calories for me to indulge in a bit o'butter. :chef:

1. I wasn't talking about gorillas.
2. What does a pitbull sitting behind a fence have to fear from a 2 year old child walking on the sidewalk or a woman coming home from a hard day at work or a 1/2 pound Chihuahua?
You didn't mention about gorillas it was mentioned by another poster. But it actually does support everything I say.

You are anthropomorphizing an animal on YOUR terms.

BIG mistake.

What a gorilla has to do with this is that the animal in question attacked a woman because she did what stupid humans do: Assume that animals perceive things the way it is perceived by animals and assume what is a threat to them is the same threat to everything. And vice versa, they think that every good thing for them is good also for an animal.

The woman only smiled and made eye contact. To humans, inviting; to a Gorilla it is challenging or even threatening.

So, take that and apply it to your silly examples of a Chihuahua or 2 year old shouldn't be able to threaten a Pittbull. But, it very well could have. I have seen Chihuahua's actually chase off a pitbull and other dogs 'bred to be aggressive'.

And, the argument of "He was such a quiet dog" type of thing also applies to humans.

What I find appalling in this current discussion is that you people are applying the same logic that has been applied to you.

Blanket assumptions of something you really don't understand and applying it to an entire section ad hoc.

I hate being on the beach in hot bright weather, I don't know what causes all those folks to go out there and roast and be exposed to all that harsh light.

I agree. My skin and the sun don't get along so well. I hate the feeling of hot sand on my feet. The ocean is nice, though.

I wish I lived nearer the ocean, it is a good 2 hour drive to get there. luckily in my part of the country it isn't anywhere near as bright as in more southern climes with all the sun lovers getting bronzed. I really liked the steeper angle of the sun in port angeles [Washington state], the light is very gentle there, I gotta move there sometime.

I hate the beach too. And the boardwalk. Sort of makes paying he high price of living close to the Jersey Shore exceptionally stupid for me.

I am a complete beach snob. I lived for three years in the Bahamas as a kid. Spent a lot of time in Florida. If it ain't white, pink or something bright and lacking in seaweed (relatively compared to the beaches I saw in California, not many though, just a comparison) and the water ain't clear as glass for at least 50 feet (about 12 or so meters), I ain't interested.

And, I can only do beaches at night. Hate the sun with a passion.

Me too! The hot sun beating down on your skin, the itchy and grainy sand... No thank you! If there's one think do not miss about living in Florida it's the beaches.

I think by this time, that either there is nobody on this forum who is totally in sync with mainstream society, or that such people don't frequent wrong planet

Please, for the love of God, get this right. NOBODY said that they can't be dangerous. All I said was that people do not take proper precautions in either owning or being around animals like that.

ANY animal can be dangerous.......

Why are you so insistent that breed of dog be eradicated? Why would you think ANY animal should be eradicated?

I get that you do not accept anything but them being bad dogs. But, geeez leweeez, don't you get how prejudicial that really is? Do you really think that people have no responsibility to this as well?

If I can wake up one day and found that no loving pitbull has leaped over a fence to take an innocent kid's face off, I'd be happy.

I'd never threaten a pitbull or ANY dog. That's a given. I'm just talking about people who, just walking down the street minding their own business, suddenly gets attacked by a dog, the majority of them being pitbulls.

I'm also talking about other dogs in dog parks that are suddenly attacked for no reason whatsoever by another dog, the majority of them being pitbulls.
