Another good example, is that episode of the Twilight Zone, called, "The Monsters Are Due On Elm Street." The powers that be, carefully manipulate human emotions to their own ends. Even riots are often incited by evil puppeteers in the background!

I don't agree that what you say is 100% true. I've read Orewll but not everything is so black and white. Anger and discontent are often genuine even if the leaders and organizers are opportunists. Actually the spreading of cynicism through claims that the resisting masses are being manipulated by foreign entities is itself a form of manipulation, it's used as an attempt to invalidate popular movements.
