I'm glad I'm an aspi cause it kept me away from smoking drinking and drugs. It also spared me from suffering at the hands of peer pressure and giving up my dreams for the sake of fitting it.

I'm glad I'm aspie today because I went to an aspie group meeting and made some new friends.

I'm glad I'm aspie today, because I dont feel as pressured to be in the latest fads or listening to certain music to fit in. And also I can be alone with little to no socialization and not go insane.

Is that a common thing with Autistic people? Keeping us away from smoking, drinking, and drugs? Cause I'm pretty much that clean-cut, too.

I won't even down an occasional drink.

I'm glad to be me today because my NT wife is having a rough time with her Mom needing to go to a nursing home, and it is very easy for me to not take her emotional thrashing about personally.

That, and a quick trip to my favorite Casino netted me dinner and a tank of gas. I don't get sucked into the gambling, never risk more than I am willing to lose, and most often walk away ahead because I can quit while ahead while others get excited and greedy. In the long haul, the house always wins.

I never got addicted to gambling, either.

I'm not of the mentality with it that "oh, but NEXT time it's a definite bet that I'll win"; the odds are so easily against you, and there are so many more productive things I can do with my time than hope that the slot machine will give me a jackpot.

That's awesome! It actually reminds me of when my husband's friend came over with his new car and said he couldn't set the clock and asked my husband to do it. They both sat there forever and couldn't get it. I told them to scoot over and set it in about 20 seconds. It's a small victory but one nonetheless :)

I'm glad I'm an aspie today because I finally got my internet connection hooked up and I'm so excited I cancelled all my social appointments I had for today. I'm alone in my apartment on my computer, and I couldn't be happier.
