Validation is wonderful
Honestly, I had no idea you weren't diagnosed. Going through that NT/AS hotline thread it was so obvious to me that you are AS, given all the things you never considered. AS totally explains it; you just don't "see" what NT's do. And its so funny when I can say that, because for a "mostly" NT I'm pretty darn clueless much of the time. But never in the way you seemed from those posts, and I doubt NT's have ever considered that you truly didn't get it in some of those situations, which means you definitely have taken more than your share of shots over the years.
ANYWAY, enjoy your new beginning. Understanding your own limitations and gifts is a large part of getting by in this world.
