I seem like a normal but shy person to most. If I'm doing group work at college I can give ideas and I seem pretty sociable until after lessons and socialising is optional I become quiet again. But I'm not really weird though, and people I've known for years get used to my habits anyway, I'm just sophie to them.

I have a bad habit of coming off as cold and distant, people are actually suprised to find that I'm nice once I open up a bit. (yes, they've said that to me)

This will sound strange but I tend to come off as most normal around the most NT of the NT. Those people are so NT they tend to actually make an effort to facilitate a conversation which puts less pressure on me to do the "right" thing.

I also tend to get along well with alcoholics. Their conversations are more interesting because they tend to be less constrained by socially acceptable topics. Usually less judgmental (less likely to notice I'm weird), and friendlier too. Can be annoyingly loud but I appreciate anyone who makes an effort to be friendly.

If by "normal" you mean I obey integral social-conventions then yes, if by normal you mean behave in a sheepish manner (act like a yes man, or a clone), than no. I'm always myself, I'm a multi-faceted person and a "work in progress" not a static 2-dimensional persona incapable of meaningful change. Sometimes my mood affects the way I act and speak, sometimes I run out of things to talk about, sometimes I'm shy, ect.

Eyes without the face topic

You might not be normal if...

You focus on a body part other than eyes in conversation, and obsess about it later.

You tell your companion exactly what you think.

You can monologue longer than Maommar Gadafi, Libyan prez.

You persist in your point of view and defend it vigourously.

You state that being normal is vastly overrated (a sig line of age1600)

This is a small sampling of not-normal analysis thus far, but it is enough to nauseate a few NTs.
