Do you ignore the doorbell or phone?

The unfamiliarity of someone I don't know calling me or ringing my doorbell is something that pretty much makes me freeze in fear, sometimes become so nervous and anxious that I rattle on 100mph when talking to this person I don't know, or absolutely not responding or picking up.

I avoid the phone like the plague. I have a very strong avoidance behaviour related to the phone, and there are only a few people from whom I will always take calls.

The door is not so much of an issue--probably because I can see the person. (shrug)
