20% scored higher (more nerdy),
1% scored the same, and
79% scored lower (less nerdy).

What does this mean? Your nerdiness is:

Mid-Level Nerd. Wow, it takes a lot of hard nerdy practice to reach this level.

The preferred being? I've generally taken the rule that dork is lovably nerdy, while geek is...Not so much.

Whatever. Always when I take these quizzes, I feel I'm sure NOT American.

Assembler I would think of as a language, in that is converts (although very simple) to machine code.
But then you scored a bigger nerd than me so your probably right!

Those were my thoughts, but poor or not: real is real. It is what it is! I grew up with BASIC 1.1.

And I thought "ARM BASIC is an excellent language, and I don't care for those of the others listed that I've tried."

Silly quiz, anyway. 75.

Assembler.

I got 98%, probably lost points for using a graphical web browser today. 8)

I was actually considering COBOL for the suck factor. Programing language these days usually means a high level programing language thus excluding any assembler from the group.

I wouldn't consider myself so much as a nerd due to knowledge. Being nerdy is also about personality.I don't look, dress, or talk like a nerd.

One question didn't make sense to me..

Quote:
Which of the following is not a real programming language?
  BASIC
  C++
  PASCAL
  Assembly
  FORTRAN
  COBOL

In this instance, what would be defined as a "real" programming language? I didn't have to look them up on wikipedia, I recognized every language here as a "real" programming language. Unless I missed something, that question has no right answer.

This test didn't take into account much though... It only really looked at surface level stuff. It could have least asked me what the difference was between a while and a do-while loop.. Jeez!

Hey there! I am 51 lightly nerdy points too. We are in the middle. I picked COBOL not because I know anything about programming (if I did I'd be more of a nerd) but because I have vague memories that COBOL was written mainly for people who didn't want to program but had to for work. It was a guess, really.
