I stopped going to school for lots of reasons last year, partially just couldn't cope with the idea of some guy deciding what i should learn and what jobs i could take on.
i currently am homeschooled, tho i haven't opened any books yet.
i prefer educating myself and gaining intel about my interests because i strongly believe that that's what every Aspie should do.., most of us have been blessed with an incredible creative brain and any educational system would get us on medicine and crash us down to the level of all other people.

YES FOR SELF EDUCATION!!
learn about your interests and get so good at it that you can make a living out of it!

Except for the bullying, I did pretty ok more or less in school. So my ideal school would have lots of structure, (but not over the top like a military school either), but at the same time lots of room for creativity and self-expression. It would have units that go in depth into different subjects, because I hated how we just brushed over each topic and barely learned about anything. It would have the option to write an essay for assessment or take a written test, whichever you felt you would do better on. The classes would be very interactive, and a discussion format instead of lecture. In other words, it'd be more like my college was, lol.
I am not sure if there are schooks like this for high school or not. Oh yea and if I could go to school with only Aspies - at least for some of the years but not all - that would be awesome.

The study materials would be the same and there would be multiple choice/short answer question exams. However, there would be no essays. My marks always drop when I write them (often from an A to a B) as professors say that I write well, but my ideas are crap. I could prepare presentations or take an oral exam instead....things that I always seem to excel at whenever I am given them.

That's just me though, dunno how realistic and feasible that would be.

This misdiagnosis caused me significant stress, which lessened upon finding out the truth about myself from my current and past long-term therapists - that I am an anxious and highly sensitive person but do not have an autism spectrum disorder.

My diagnoses - social anxiety disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder.

I’m no longer involved with the ASD world.
