Have you tried physical training, weight loss. have you made an effort with basics before running off after magic pills?

It's a shame that your stepson's mother thinks that homeopathy is a valid technique.
She probably believes in other woo as well.

He can read plenty online can't he, to understand and tell his mother that she is wrong....totally.
If he wants to.......

He will not argue with his mother. She supports him and provides him with a very privledged lifestyle, wheras we are normal everyday, non materialistic people who will not buy him $80 shoes to go with his new outfit to match the new truck he got after he blew up his last one. Need I say more? Her and I never have seen eye to eye, but SHE is his mother, not me so I am at a disadvantage.

I told him to get off of the drugs and alcohol, exercise and start taking care of himself and he will be surprised how much better he feels, and then go from there. You can't do too many things at once otherwise you will fail. You need to keep your life management realistic. His mother and I have never seen eye to eye. Maybe I was just grasping that there may be something that we actually agree on.

He won't do the research, he is not an academic and shouldn't even be "away" for college. He doesn't even do his freaking homework, he would NEVER do the research on his own. He needs good guidance, period.

I know he's an adult, but I can't help but feel bad for him and want to help. Call me stupid, but he's never been helped in any way that is effective. Like I said earlier, she is a give him a pill and call it a day mother. She won't do the work.

I'm outta here! Thanks everyone but I'm very over this subject.

argh my thoughts changed within 15 seconds .

"who will not buy him $80 shoes to go with his new outfit to match the new truck he got after he blew up his last one. Need I say more? Her and I never have seen eye to eye, but SHE is his mother, not me so I am at a disadvantage"

So, I thought, "hmm, spoiled young kid who blew up his toy truck"

"I told him to get off of the drugs and alcohol"

Then I realised he is an adult. and his truck was real.. duh!

First, my apologies for not looking into this further before posting  I decided to look into this more because of your strong reactions starting with Callista's wikpedia link and went from there.

My face looked just like this :?

My stepson's mother isn't the sharpest tack in the box, and she is trendy, but I can't imagine this is what she's talking about. She must mean herbal/natural remedies. I was thinking more of the liquid herbal stuff that my chiropractor tried to sell me a long time ago. That kind of thing. I tend to think that there has to be something to this for it to harbor this much attention, but I at least understand where the drinking urine references come from. 8O

If this is really what she is talking about then there is NO WAY I will ever connect with her. I do think that herbal and natural healing does have it's advantages even though I don't do that myself, but I don't think homeopathics are what she's really talking about. I don't get that from her. This seems to coincide with more spiritual/nature relationships, rather than looking at something "non medical/chemical", (if you know what I mean) and that's not her.

Thanks for straightening me out and putting up with me being a little defensive. It was a tough week.

I really love you guys!! !

"Anti-homeopathic rhetoric" is based on science, not pharmaceutical conspiracies. Like does not cure like, water does not magically remember what was dissolved in it, etc.
