Dude. Are you always this negative? Or is this poorly executed sarcasm?

Its just something i read, is it wrong?

Don't believe everything you read

That report is laced with so many negative judgements and biases in regards to asperger's it is laughable. And that is exactly what it is...a joke. Well I sure hope it is anyway.

I am on the skinny side, but I used to be heavy. More recently I have started lifting weights, so I am not as skinny. But I am in very good shape for my age (16 btw).

No easy answer...

I had an eating disorder for 10 years and was a "healthy" weight on the charts, but I looked sickly and scrawny and didn't get my period.

So, a few inpatient treatment stays later, I eat really healthily (whole grains, low-fat dairy, not too many carbs, plenty of protein, vegetarian, daily exercise)... and I'm quite a bit overweight. But then, my nutritionist says that if this is what I weigh when I eat like that, well then, this is my healthy.

So, I look overweight (size 18-20), but I'm healthier than I've ever been. Make of it what you will.

I've always been either slightly overweight, or just within ideal weight range. At some points in my life, I've been rather toned (trying to get back to that, I used to be built like Chun Li out of Street Fighter) but at others (like now) I've been very flabby, if not exactly fat.

Many of my immediate family members have eating disorders and serious body weight issues.
No official AS or Autism diagnosis for them, but there is very strong evidence to support it.
I was overweight until my late teenage years, when I "grew-into" my weight... I'm tall.

Part of my personal eating problem has to do with using food as self-medication. I had a freaked-out-meltdownish day? Well let's eat a bunch of tasty stuff. And while we're at it, let's have a few too many drinks as well. Now I feel MUCH better about myself...

In the last few years, I've done a lot to try and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Particularly since I know I have a genetic predisposition for eating/weight problems. With exercise and a wholesome diet, I've been able to keep my weight stable at a healthy level.

I've noticed that many people on the spectrum are one extreme or the other when it comes to body type/weight. I am EXTREMELY thin and have been my entire life. I'm a picky eater but am not and have never been anorexic or bulimic, it used to hurt me a lot that I'd get accused of being anorexic and being called horrible names because I am abnormally (but NATURALLY) exceptionally thin. A strong gust of wind could blow me away, I have very fragile light bones and am an extreme ectomorph. I used to hate looking different but I've gotten used to it now, though I'd LOVE to have bigger boobs! My husband is also extremely skinny, he's on the spectrum too.

55kg at 5ft5". My BMI is probably about 20.

It's very hard for me to know how much I should be eating though. It's usually too little or too much. Still as long as I stay 55kg I'm fine. It's probably because stimulants decrease my appetite and when they wear off I get it back. I'm either eating too healthy or compulsively eating food that is bad for me, but I usually stop because of the reaction it has on my mental and physical performance.

I would ask the same question. But most of aspies i have seen are chubby. I'm currently mildly obese. Anyway in my family obesity runs, most of my relative are pick eater and are fatter than me, other can keep their weight under controll, but they're around my weight.
I eat rarely meat. It sucks. It's the only food i can't stand. If i ate meat, but even simple i drink milk, i fell the horrible taste of meat all day. I'm almost vegetarian not because i believe in this lifestile, just because i can't stand meat. A friend has said maybe i gain weiglt easily because i avoid meat, and this make my diet not equilibrate. my parents allowed me to avoid meat since i was 12.
I love fish, but fish texture hurts my gengivas.

I have been underweight, and it was not fun. i need a bit of fat on my body for feeling OK (yes, i need to lose at least 7-8 kg, and i will be healthyly chubby).

I think there is not connection between ASD and methabolism anyway, it is different from person to person, and as what i've seen, after teenage most people gain a bit of weight.

I was very underweight from age 4/5 to last year. I'm now near average.

My BMI is 17.5, in the underweight range, it's probably been like that over the past 2 years.

I have always had an athletic body with some abs showing. I don't think there is a strong connection with body weight and autism. If anything most of the people with asperger's I have seen have been overweight/obese.

This has varied over my 60 years of life:

Grade school - I was inactive and a little butterball

High School and College - skinny as a string bean...

5'9" and 115 pounds when I entered college
5'9" and 125 pounds when I graduated

5'9" and 145 pounds at age 25

5'9" and 155 pounds at age 28

5'9" and 172 pounds at age 29 - this is when things started going downhill

5'9" and 195 pounds at age 35

5'9" and 245 pounds at age 55... and I became diabetic

The diabetes complication of gastroparesis killed my appetite and for a while I could only eat milk and sometimes Special K

5'9" and 170 pounds now at age 60... and the diabetes is actually curing itself... and still losing 1 pound per month

A word to the wise... stay active if you can

I don't think of myself as "Obese" (my dad does though  he even said so last night) I'm not even that big! He said If I gain weight that it throws off my seizure medication and if I have another seizure it could kill me!
I love life and I wish he saw things from my POV that I feel very blessed to have survived many seizures in the first place but no! He talks to me as if me being seizure free for five years never happened!
He 's even said I deny being "sick".
I don't deny that I have a condition that could possibly send me to the pearly gates early but I live my life as I am supposed to and I embrace every minute of it.

I'm very underweight now. Back when I attemted suicide and was thrown to rehab I gained like 10kg, but when I started going to school again I lost these 10kg.

I used to be skinny in a healthy way as a child, but then I started to gain weight. Since then, I've been overweight. I'm now more 'plump' than anything, and I've tried diets, but they've only helped so far.

I suffer from Thyroiditis and hormonal imbalance, so it's difficult to lose weight. :|
