I had to work very hard to get as pale as I am, and I don't intend to change that for anything :P

I don't want to act like a 100% recluse.(Did I mention about the neighbor that came to check on me because she didn't see my car move in FOUR DAYS!?) I DO get out every now and then, etc... Some MIGHT consider my skin to be a little pale, but it really isn't.

I certainly have skin close to perfect white, and I've had people jokingly call me albino.
I don't really know if its logical to assume that autistics would have physical differences from NTs when Autism is neurological condition, but I'm curious if these might be a common trait of autistics.
What do you guys think?

How does this work for people of non-European descent?

I am VERY white. If you look close enough you can see the little blue veins on the sides of my face. My freckles are light as well. :?

Interesting observation......I am so pale I am sometimes asked if I am not feeling well. I have no color or blush in my cheeks. I am caucasion with dark green eyes, dark eyebrows & lashes, and dark blonde hair. I definitely shy away from the sun. And, I live in Alaska. When I was in the hospital I was given Iron supplements because I had blood loss anemia (for no explanation). I feel fine though and I am physically healthy.

I am very pale (my son too). When i get slightly tanned during summer holidays, most people cant see the difference to before.

My hair turned white around the age of 40.

I have ancestors from Latvia and Poland.

Though I can tan (I'm half Italian), my usual color is ghost-white.

Behold the whiteness...

i think aspies are pale skin because they rarely go outside my 8 year old hardly ever goes outside and when he decides he wants to it is for a very short time. He is red head and pale skin.

I am very very white (so white that I'm almost red), with dark hair and green eyes. When I was a kid I was really self conscious about it, but as I've grown older I've noticed that I find fair skin in girls incredibly attractive and distinguishing, darker skin more pedestrian.

If we are paler (and I'm not convinced that we are), it's probably got more to do with the fact that artificially tanning is "in" now. Everyone does it, I even know plenty of straight men who go tanning regularly.

However we're less likely to care or even notice fashion trends, and thus less likely to do something like going tanning.
