I can barely hear at 17 khz, over headphones and I am nearly 42.

I used to have really sharp hearing (not sure how sharp) but I listened to a lot of loud music and lost some range.

Okay, I corrected my computer's volume. It was really, really low and messed up my earlier:

19khz is like a tiny dentist's drill in the back of my skull and I could hear 21khz as a faint whine. One weird thing was that I could hear 17.4khz better than 17khz. 15khz was the last loud tone - depending on volume I can get out of my phone, I'd probably go for 15khz.

Also, I have tinnitus, which probably interferes with hearing some of the tones.

Unfortunately, it is impossible to download the ringtones to my phone.

Jesus Christ I never new a tinnitus existed lol.... I had to look it up and yes I seem to have it... It is prolly what's interfering my hearing 21 since everything else is just fine...

I'm 19 and I can hear up to 19 kHz, but my guinea pig sitting on my shoulder can hear up to 21 kHz. Interestingly the dogs didn't do anything, they must be sleeping deeply.

This is really interesting! My husband is 29 and I am 26 and we can both only hear to 15. Is that bad?!

I can hear crackling at the beginning and end of every frequency, so I can't judge properly, but I think the highest I can hear is 17khz.

I also have blocked hearing atm due to a cold and I have my fan heater and computer noise on top of that.

I am 26 and I can hear up to 22 khz but only with headphones, otherwise I am distracted by small noises around me.

And what's your age?

The sharpest I can hear 19KHz and I am 24.. I hear upto 22 but the sound is faint

Does anybody else hear 22 louder than 21?

IF YOU ARE UNDER 18 DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK! THE SOUND COULD HURT YOUR EARS!!

mosquito ringtones

I'm 30 and I too hear 22 louder than 21 - I can hear all of them (22 gets fainter at the end though.)

I regret doing this... Anyway, I hear them and feel them in my head (like...icky vibrations) and behind my eyes until 21khz and then i am pretty sure that i can only feel the 22khz tone. i'm 20.

heh....scratch that. i noticed that the volume on my laptop was on 4....so i did it again (i must be a glutton for punishment.) i can hear all of them. also, i listen to music very very loudly to drown out other sounds...i suppose it hasn't ruined my hearing yet.

with the volume at a decent level i can hear up to 21 kHz. the 22 kHz sounds like a lower pitch than 21, so even though i can discern the sound i would say i am not hearing it properly.

That's unusual... your computer volume must be turned down..

I can hear all of them if I have my speakers turned all the way up. At halfway of the full volume, I can hear up to 18khz. I'm 23.
