um, you might want to be careful doing that... it's a good way to end up extremely drunk/dead.

Ugh.

Why actually drink the stuff, when one can just inhale the fumes...? One still gets intoxicated that way...without having to endure the dreadful taste.

Well I like how beer tastes.

I  beer....I have drank to the point of puking before, I try not to because that is no fun at all but it does happen sometimes.

This only ever happened to me once. I didn't actually puke, but I felt nauseated for a few hours after I woke up the next day. I thought I might have had the flu, but then I realized that it was because of how much I drank the night before and I realized later "Oh, that's what that was.". It happened because someone pressured me to keep drinking when I wanted to quit and if I had stopped when I wanted to I probably would not have felt sick.

My biggest problem is that if you put liquid in front of me without making me pay for it, I will keep drinking it. I do this with water, diet pop refills, and coffee. I will remember to try not to do this in similar situations involving beer, which I seldom encounter. Having to pay for it is a big motivator not to drink too much. It is an affront to my frugal tendencies to possibly get sick AND have to pay for it AND not have anything saved for later. For me, miserliness trumps all other vices.

Yeah, and at the end of the day there's such a wide spectrum of beers:

Anglo-American Ales:

Amber Ale
American Pale Ale
American Strong Ale
Barley Wine
Bitter
Black IPA
Brown Ale
Cream Ale
English Pale Ale
English Strong Ale
Fruit Beer
Golden Ale/Blond Ale
Imperial/Double IPA
India Pale Ale (IPA)
Irish Ale
Mild Ale
Old Ale
Premium Bitter/ESB
Scotch Ale
Scottish Ale
Specialty Grain
Spice/Herb/Vegetable
Traditional Ale

German Ales:

Altbier
Kölsch

Belgian-Style Ales:

Abbey Dubbel
Abbey Tripel
Abt/Quadrupel
Belgian Ale
Belgian Strong Ale
Bière de Garde
Lambic - Faro
Lambic - Gueuze
Lambic - Unblended
Saison
Sour Ale/Wild Ale

Lagers:

American Dark Lager
Bohemian Pilsener
California Common
Classic German Pilsener
Doppelbock
Dortmunder/Helles
Dunkel
Dunkler Bock
Eisbock
Heller Bock
Imperial Pils/Strong Pale Lager
Malt Liquor
Oktoberfest/Märzen
Pale Lager
Pilsener
Premium Lager
Schwarzbier
Smoked
Vienna
Zwickel/Keller/Landbier

Stouts and Porters:

Baltic Porter
Dry Stout
Foreign Stout
Imperial Stout
Imperial/Strong Porter
Porter
Stout
Sweet Stout

Low-Alcohol Beers

Wheats:

Belgian White (Witbier)
Berliner Weisse
Dunkelweizen
German Hefeweizen
German Kristallweizen
Lambic - Fruit
Weizen Bock
Wheat Ale

So, as I say, there are so many variants in beer styles, you could go ages without being able to tell which one you had. Granted, some of these beers are very, very similar to each other in style - often it's impossible to tell between a stout and a porter, for instance.

NTs - name me one person who's ever got rich by drinking themselves stupid!

Well I'm not an NT ... but Jim Morrison, Richard Harris and Oliver Reed are three who spring to mind straight away.

Jim Morrison didn't get rich by drinking himself stupid, he got rich because he was an amazing singer, then he drunk himself stupid and died.

He was already ingesting all sorts of chemicals before the Doors even started. Not only that, I'm sure that the popularity of their live shows from around 1969 onwards was partly down to the freakshow appeal of watching someone losing it onstage. I do partly take your point though - perhaps Shane McGowan would have been a better example because his voice - however interesting and alluring it might have sounded was already ruined by over-indulgence in booze and speed before he even made a record.

Richard Harris was an amazing actor too at one point, but he by the time he died he was better known for his alcoholism than his talent.

Why do NTs love alcohol so much?

I have no idea.

It seems that aspies either are really heavy drinkers (not for social purposes) or rarely drink, if at all.

Most of my NT friends aren't that big on alcohol. They are people who enjoy have a couple drinks at a party or having a glass or wine/beer with dinner.

I don't drink at all, I'm underage, but I'm planning on drinking when I am older.

Well this might end up becoming my next topic to do extensive research on...beer research is fun because it will involve me trying every type of beer I can find.

I don't think drinking is an NT thing at all. In fact, I love drinking and I love being drunk. (Being hungover, not so much.) I think drinking is a personal thing, some NTs don't drink and some aspies don't drink.

Is your username a reference to "The Voyage of the Dawn Treader"? There's a part where a kid, who might fit the Aspie stereotype, turns into a dragon, becomes well-liked, and then changes back into a kid. I've thought that, if I were in his role, I might choose to remain a dragon.

Eustace? He's just an obnoxious child with a lot to learn. Nothing like an Aspie or the stereotype.

He's only liked because he is useful; as a dragon he can carry large loads or hunt for food. He isn't liked for being himself. He becomes miserable because despite all his power and strength he cannot communicate with other human beings and misses being amongst them. C.S. Lewis always had a message (whether you like it or not).

Sorry, none of this had anything to do with alchohol (other than the beer in my glass right now) but it just grabbed my attention.
